1. The Service

Greater Human is a self-development tool that uses AI to support personal growth, mental fitness, and wellbeing through guided conversational sessions.

The App is not therapy. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or counselling. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Greater Human application (“App”) operated by Greater Human Inc. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Using the App does not create any professional, therapeutic, medical, or fiduciary relationship between you and us.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your account with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for its intended purpose of supporting personal development
  • Treat the AI Guide's responses as reflective prompts, not professional advice

You agree not to:

  • Use the App as a substitute for emergency services, therapy, or medical care
  • Attempt to access, extract, manipulate, or reverse engineer Greater Human's data, AI models, prompts, or proprietary systems
  • Use the App to harm yourself or others, or to generate content that is illegal, abusive, or violates the rights of others
  • Interfere with the App's security, functionality, or integrity
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service

5. AI Limitations

The AI Guide generates responses based on general self-development principles. It may occasionally produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, or unhelpful. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is not personalised medical or psychological care
  • The App cannot assess your mental health status
  • You should exercise your own judgement when applying any guidance from the App
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes from using the App

6. Assumption of Risk

You engage with the App voluntarily. Self-reflection can surface strong emotions and discomfort. The App is not a substitute for professional care. If at any point your wellbeing is at risk, stop using the App and contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

The App may be offered as a free service, a subscription service, or a combination. If you purchase a subscription:

  • Pricing, billing frequency, and trial terms are presented to you before purchase, and you must affirmatively consent to them
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the plan you selected until you cancel. We disclose the renewal price and interval at checkout and in a confirmation email
  • Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe, Apple, or Google). We do not store your payment card details
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, the in-app subscription management link, or the relevant app store. Access continues until the end of the current billing period

Refunds. Purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play are refunded under that store's policies. For purchases made directly from us (web checkout), refunds follow the windows in our Refund Policy. Outside those windows, you may cancel at any time effective at the end of the current billing period; we do not refund unused time except where required by law. EU/UK consumers: see Section 15.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect your current billing period.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, AI models, prompts, and materials in the App are owned by Greater Human Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Your session transcripts and personal content remain yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Greater Human Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
  • This includes, without limitation, damages for emotional distress, loss of data, loss of profits, or reliance on AI-generated content
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100), whichever is greater

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greater Human Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or to the service.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Account deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: Except where your local consumer law provides otherwise (see Section 15), these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
  • Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at info@greaterhuman.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
  • Arbitration: Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted by video, by telephone, or in the county where you reside.
  • 30-Day Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing info@greaterhuman.ai within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms, stating your intent to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.
  • Small-Claims Carve-Out: Either party may instead bring a qualifying individual claim in small-claims court.
  • Class Action Waiver: Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis, not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is held unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim alone proceeds in court and the rest of this Section still applies.
  • Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court to protect intellectual property rights. Nothing here waives any right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
  • Survival: This Section survives termination.

15. International Consumers

If you are a consumer in the UK, EU, or another jurisdiction whose laws grant you mandatory protections, nothing in these Terms limits those rights. The arbitration agreement and class action waiver in Section 14 apply to you only to the extent permitted by your local law; where they are not permitted, disputes may be brought in your local courts under your local consumer law, and that law governs to the extent it provides you greater protection.

EU and UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. If you ask to begin the service immediately, you may be asked to acknowledge that this right is waived for the portion already provided.

16. General

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms presented at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
